hdhomerun_config command-line tool installed via Homebrew (brew install hdhomerun)http://my.hdhomerun.com — if your device appears there, OTADVR can find ithdhomerun_config discover in Terminal to confirm the CLI tool is installedOTADVR records raw MPEG-2 ATSC streams. Modern macOS QuickTime does not include an MPEG-2 video decoder for HD content. Use the built-in Play button in the Recordings tab — OTADVR's built-in player uses VideoToolbox to decode MPEG-2 natively and will show both video and audio correctly.
PSIP guide data is broadcast in the OTA signal itself. Select a channel with good signal and tap the calendar button to fetch guide data for that channel. The app also fetches guide data automatically on launch for channels with expired listings.
Enter your address or postal code in the search bar at the top of the OTA Map panel, or tap the location button to use your current location. Towers will load within a few seconds. Use the radius picker to expand the search area if needed.
